Attorney Katrina Kilgren is admitted to the California State Bar only. She is not admitted to the Oregon State Bar and not able to advise clients on issues of state law.  For this reason, her practice is limited to federal immigration and nationality law only.  She represents clients located throughout the United States and around the globe on U.S. immigration matters.

For over 10 years, Katrina Kilgren has assisted clients with a range of immigration law cases, including defense from deportation, family-based petitions, applications for citizenship, DACA, and petitions for humanitarian immigration relief.   Katrina has substantial experience representing immigrant survivors of violence and persecution.  In addition to representing adult clients, she regularly assists unaccompanied minors and other young immigrants in their pursuit of lawful status in the United States.  She is a member of the Oregon Department of Justice Immigrant Crime Victims’ Rights Subcommittee, as well as the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).  Prior to opening her own law office in Eugene in 2015, she was the Senior Staff Attorney at Immigration Counseling Service (ICS), a nonprofit immigration law firm in Portland, Oregon.  

 

Katrina received her Bachelor of Arts with honors from Washington University in St. Louis and her law degree Summa Cum Laude from the University of Miami in 2009. Before attending law school, Katrina served two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Central America.  She speaks Spanish fluently and is deeply committed to helping her clients obtain justice and pursue their dreams through high quality, compassionate legal services.

Katrina is also a Pro Tem Instructor of immigration and citizenship law at the University of Oregon. She teaches courses within both the Legal Studies and Global Studies departments.  She is also dedicated to mentoring students through internships and other collaborations.

Antes de abrir su propia oficina de abogados en Eugene en 2015, fue abogada sénior en Immigration Counseling Service (ICS), una firma de abogados de inmigración sin fines de lucro en Portland, Oregón.

 

Katrina recibió su Licenciatura en Artes con honores de la Universidad de Washington en St. Louis y su título de abogado Summa Cum Laude de la Universidad de Miami en 2009.
